Jinsafut Girls Secondary School won the National Knowledge Competition in its sixth season

Jinsafout Secondary School for Girls from Qalqilya earned first place in the National Knowledge Competition in the final episode of its sixth season 2023/2022, which took place on Tuesday, 3/21/2023, at the Municipal Theater Hall - Ramallah Municipality.


This came in the presence of members of the Board of Directors of the Yasser Arafat Foundation, Mrs. Intisar Al-Wazir (Umm Jihad), Dr. Ola Awad, and Mr. Musa Hadid, and the Director General of the Yasser Arafat Foundation Dr. Ahmed Sobh, Assistant Undersecretary for Student Affairs at the Ministry of Education, Sadiq Al-Khadour, Director of the Cultural Activity Department in the Ministry of Education, Hamed Abu Makho, Director of the Yasser Arafat Museum, Muhammad Halayqa, representatives from the foundation, the Ministry, and the families of the participating students.


Al-Sahaba Primary School for Girls from North Hebron came in second, while Al-Hussein Bin Ali High School from Hebron came in third.


Dr. Soboh began the event with a welcoming speech to the audience in which he wished mercy on the martyrs of the State of Palestine and freedom for the prisoners who will begin their hunger strike, as well as a greeting to the Palestinian mother, sister, and daughter on her day, which falls today, and mercy on the martyrs of the Battle of Karameh.


Soboh emphasized the competition's relevance and continuity, as it represents the development of knowledge and Palestinian national identity among students, expanding their knowledge, and conserving the history of the Palestinian national movement and the Palestinian cause.


Soboh emphasized the Foundation's delight in working with the Ministry of Education, including directorates, schools, students, and supervisors, to organize this competition, which is regarded as the crowning achievement of our programs, and the Foundation's ongoing collaboration with the Palestinian Broadcasting Corporation to deliver the competition's message and goal to the homes of all families in the State of Palestine via their screen, emphasizing that the Foundation is open with the Ministry of Education to provide any suggestions for evaluating, correcting, and developing the competition after five successful seasons.


Al-Khdour highlighted "Education's Ministry" pleasure in completing the competition, which shows national and historical facts about our cause in all Palestinian homes, in collaboration with the Yasser Arafat Foundation and Palestine TV.


While conveying Prof. Dr. Marwan Awartani, Minister of Education's greetings to the audience and emphasizing the complementary responsibilities of teachers and parents in developing and polishing students' talents, Al-Khdour emphasized the importance of this competition, which is a pillar for developing creative pupils.


He thanked the competition's organizers and emphasized the necessity of a successful relationship between the Ministry, national institutions, and civil and local social institutions in expanding the educational sector.


It should be noted that Maryam Bint Omran School for Girls from Al-Wusta Governorate was awarded first place, Tuesday, in the Foundation's office (the President's House / Gaza) at the level of the education directorates in the Gaza Strip, in the sixth season of the National Knowledge Competition 2022/2023.


This distinction follows the Israeli occupation's rejection and intransigence in allowing the winning kids and instructors to compete in the final round in Ramallah.


The event finished with the winners and participants being honored and awards being handed out to the winning teams, including the first reward, which is a high-spec laptop computer and $400 in cash for each of the three girls from Jinsafout Secondary Girls School; it won first place.


The children of Al-Sahaba Primary School for Girls will receive a high-spec iPad and $300 in cash as the second prize. The third award is a high-quality tablet and $200 for each of the three female pupils from Al-Hussein Bin Ali Secondary School.


It is worth noting that the Dabkeh ensemble from Beitunia Girls' High School performed a piece of Palestinian folklore.
