Dr. Ahmed Soboh, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Yasser Arafat Foundation, welcomed the 24th senior officers’ course of the Military Training Authority of the Palestinian Security Forces to the Yasser Arafat Museum on Sunday, October 11, 2026. Speaking from the museum’s Al-Muntada Hall, near the tomb of founding president Yasser Arafat and the trench where he made his final stand, Soboh welcomed the delegation and highlighted the importance of the visit, which has become an integral part of the training and graduation program for senior officers over the years.
Dr. Soboh then introduced the delegation to the museum’s exhibits, which document key events, developments, and milestones related to the Palestinian cause over the century preceding President Yasser Arafat’s death.
He stressed that Abu Ammar’s legacy and experience cannot be fully understood without placing them within their broader national context. The delegation toured the museum’s galleries, where they learned about the history and narrative of the Palestinian national movement, as well as the life and legacy of Yasser Arafat, the historic leader of the Palestinian people, and his fellow comrades.
