Marking the anniversary of his birth, the Yasser Arafat Foundation laid a wreath at the grave of the renowned Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish and recited Al-Fatiha in his memory.

The ceremony took place on Sunday, March 15, 2026, with the participation of Dr. Ahmad Soboh, Chairman of the Board, and Dr. Ouda Masharqa, Director General, representing the Foundation’s leadership.

This gesture comes in recognition of Darwish’s profound contribution to shaping Palestinian literary and national identity, as well as his influential role in conveying the narrative of the Palestinian people and their just cause to the world.
