The Yasser Arafat Foundation has released the 38th issue (Autumn 2025) of its quarterly journal "Awraq Filistinia" , published digitally via the Foundation’s online platform on Thursday, December 25, 2025. The
issue opens with an editorial by the Foundation’s management titled “Steadfastness and Resilience Are the Only Option,” emphasizing that perseverance, firmness, and continuous presence across all arenas constitute the sole response to the occupying power’s excessive force and its attempts to bring the Palestinian cause to an end.
The main thematic dossier is titled “Steadfastness and Survival in the Face of Alternatives.” Contributions include Abdul Ghani Salameh’s analysis, “A Reading of the Trump Plan and UN Security Council Resolution 2803,” and an article by Shatha Yahya titled “The Kingdom of Judah or the State of Palestine… Armageddon of the Billionaire Caesar.”
Alyan Al-Hindi examines the political, social, and military repercussions of the events of October 7 on the State of Israel. Hanaa Mohammad writes on “The Gazan Environment amid a War of Extermination,” while Abdul Hakim Abu Jamous presents “After Destruction and Educational Erasure: Practical Proposals for Restoring Education in Post-War Gaza.”
Badia Zaidan contributes “‘Genocide Literature’ from Gaza: The Narrative of Living Flesh.”
In the section Intellectual Papers and Interventions, Imad Shakour writes “Between Two Hotels in Two Cities,” and Abdul Qader Yassin contributes “The Output of Intellectuals and Their Tools.” The issue also continues publishing the second part of Issam Halaika’s study on “Linguistic and Cultural Commonalities between Arabic and Ugaritic.”
In Memory Papers, Aziz Al-Assa offers a review of Shafiq Al-Hout’s book “Between Homeland and Exile: The Journey Began in Jaffa.” Shafiq Al-Hout’s daughter, Dr. Haneen Shafiq Al-Hout, contributes a personal reflection titled “A Daughter’s Testimony: I Remember Our Conversations, I Remember the Reassurance… I Remember the Sound of the Piano.”
The Cultural Papers section opens with Youssef Al-Shayeb’s essay “Cinema Resisting Settlement: From the Roots to the Oscars!” Tahseen Yaqeen writes “The Second Day and the Decisive Role of the Word.” Salah Abdul Raouf reviews Hussam Abu Al-Nasser’s book “The آثار of Gaza… and the War on History.” Another review by Abdul Qader Yassin discusses “The Concise and Sufficient Guide to the Political History of Palestine” by Mashae’r Al-Naeem.
The issue concludes with a special dossier on the Foundation’s work, prepared by the Media and Public Relations Department, highlighting the Foundation’s key activities, ongoing programs, partnerships with
national institutions, and the initiatives and events of the Yasser Arafat Museum.
