Yasser Arafat Foundation and Qamatat Sign Cooperation Agreement

The Yasser Arafat Foundation, represented by its Chairman of the Board, Dr. Ahmad Soboh, signed a cooperation agreement with Qamatat Foundation for Documenting the Palestinian Struggle, represented by its Chairman, Anas Al-Assta, on Monday, December 15, 2025. The agreement was signed at the Yasser Arafat Foundation’s headquarters in Ramallah.

In this context, Dr. Soboh stated that the Foundation’s mission centers on preserving the memory of President Yasser Arafat, safeguarding his legacy, drawing lessons from it, and passing it on to future generations, while elevating the Palestinian individual along the path toward realizing the national project and building a democratic Palestinian society.

Dr. Soboh expressed his pride in this cooperation and partnership with Qamatat, emphasizing the shared commitment to preserving the history of national and struggle figures throughout the long journey of the Palestinian people.

For his part, Anas Al-Assta presented an overview of Qamatat, its pioneering national project, and its vision for documenting inspiring experiences and protecting the collective national memory. He expressed
pride in the newly formalized partnership with the Yasser Arafat Foundation, aimed at serving the humanitarian Palestinian narrative, advancing Palestinian documentary content, and strengthening the foundations of alternative resistance cinema.

The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Odeh Masharqa, Director General of the Yasser Arafat Foundation; Ali Fares, Financial Director; Fares Saqar, Director of Media and Public Relations; Thaer Thabet, Vice Chairman of Qamatat’s Board; and Basel Tahboub, Qamatat’s Project
Manager.
